Put us out of misery end, amiright?! We are finally at the end of this dreadful season, one marked by disappointments across the board but especially at the top. We have seen our once young and promising team, set up for the long run both on talent and financial responsibility, be hamstrung by Gerry & Co. We’ll begin to dive in more and more into this space starting next week, but for now let’s focus on this season-ending matchup vs relegation-bound Monza.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
I’m not going to say a whole lot. I mean, what is there to say about this game. Milan should win. They should win handedly. I mean, it’s the worst team in the league by a mile.
I do think we see some rotation, lots of young guys. Probably get a token appearance from Florenzi just to say thanks and goodbye. Same for anyone else who is deserving. Maybe we see the guys likely on the way out but not for age reasons like Florenzi. So maybe Theo plays although he was listed with a thigh injury last game so who knows what’s going on with him.
In essence I’ll be on the lookout for any player getting the opportunity to have a nice sending off. Like a prolonged exit where the fans can show their appreciation. Maybe that’s Leão or Tomori. I wish I could see Conceição one last time only because I like the guy and wish he would stay but almost certainly isn’t.
The Curva Sud is set to walk out around the 15th minute in protest. Which is great, show your displeasure. I find it hard to take them seriously at the moment since they protested Pioli, how is that decision looking?…Maybe they’ll learn some humility along with Milan management. Yeah right…
Anyway, enjoy it even with the bitter taste in your mouth. We won’t get another game for a few months and the team will look very different. Will it be good? Or bad? Time will tell.
PREDICTION TIME:
Quick disclaimer: I won’t be able to watch the game live as I’ll be traveling but I hope we win because why not, LOL. Maybe a Leão brace and a João Félix goal just to irritate some of you…
Forza Milan
