WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

As you probably noticed, the site was quiet over these last two weeks. Some of that was planned (family vacation) but not all of it. No, on top of life intervening I just kind of…unplugged. I was tired of the noise and didn’t want to fill any need I did have to try and understand things with your typical international break hot takes and bullsh*t rumors. Definitely better ways to fill your time. Whatever you choose to do, I hope you’re happy Calcio and Milan are back because I am!

This game is shaping up to be head-scratcher. Theo is suspended from his after-the-final-whistle red card vs Fiorentina and Fonseca has chosen to sit Leão, Why?…reasons. I’ve mentioned that benching your star player, even somewhat out of form, on top of already not getting results is risky. Fail to bring home all 3 points and the rest of the team, on top of the the star player, starts (or continues) to believe you don’t know what you’re doing.

Other interesting starts are Thiaw for Tomori, Pavlovic for Gabbia, and Okafor for Abraham. Add all of this together and it’s quite the starting lineup and who knows what formation they’re going to be…or mostly going to be in. I would like to see Reijnders re-insert himself as a game changer and make his presence known. He’s had a couple of duds the last few times out. My game predictions have been terrible this season for the most part so I’m not even going to attempt one today, LOL. You will still find Nonno’s below.

What I can say for certain is Udinese has been somewhat of a boogieman team for Milan, not dissimilar to Fiorentina, and I was worried last game too. Milan-killer Becão is gone so that should help but it seems like someone always steps up for Udinese when playing Milan, so don’t be surprised by anything you see today.

As for predictions…I already said I’m not going to even bother today but I do hope to see a bounce-back performance…not that I’m holding my breath for one.

Lisi says: I think we see something relatively low scoring and conservative, especially with the back line we have. I do think we get one in the first half and ride things out. Udinese can’t keep a clean sheet but we can’t either. Late PK by Pulisic to finish them off with the final score being 2-1.

Just win, baby.

Forza Milan
