WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Do you know how many teams have lost 3 of their last 5 games in Serie A? Four. Milan and then all 3 teams currently sitting in the relegation zone. That’s how swimmingly things are going at the moment. Have I mentioned that it’s crunch time and the top 4 is at stake?

Needless to say, I’ve turned on the coach and club and am not expecting them to finish in the top 4. I mean, they might, but it’ll be through luck and a good bounce and nothing the coach or management do to turn the tide these last couple of games. No, this is bad. Really bad. And regretfully it has me wondering what do I really want out of the club with two matchdays left. The team needs to be blown up. Keeping Zlatan, Furlani, and Allegri (among others), seems foolish but I don’t trust them to make the correct decisions to right the ship.

So, do I want them to win out and make the top 4, keep Allegri…the monster we know…and bring in more pieces to supposedly make his system work? Well, no. Because none of it will go down that way. We’ll make a couple of smart buys, one or two dumb ones, nothing works and by November Milan have a new coach with a bunch of pieces he didn’t order. But blowing everything up and doing all the dumb player signings AND having a new coach? That seems and feels even worse.

No, I think the thing we all feared is coming back. The next banter era. Banter Era 2.0. Cycling through coaches, ridiculous buying of players without any sense of how things will work, then restarting all over again every summer. Nothing this management has done gives me any confidence it’ll go down any other way. How am I that confident? I’m also a Dallas Cowboys fan and Gerry and Jerry…both owners…are basically the same. And Dallas hasn’t won a Super Bowl since the 1995-96 season. Yeah, 30 f**king years ago.

PREDICTION TIME:

Ugh.

Forza Milan
