Biggest game of the season so far. Last season Milan crumbled in nearly every big match they had. Will this season be different?…
MATCHDAY:
LAST FIVE
MILAN: LWWWW
NAPOLI: WWWLW
FORMATIONS
TIME/LOCATION
TIME: 2:45pm EST/6:45pm GMT
PLACE: San Siro, Milano
WHERE TO WATCH:
***New season, so tell me if this needs to be updated***
Paramount+ and FuboTV here in the US of Aye (Spanish broadcast on Fox Deportes in the US); FuboTV and TLN for Canada; TNT in the UK (maybe?); ESPN for Mexico; DAZN for Germany, Austria, Switzerland; a website called GXR for our friends in India; and illegal streams that support dictators and oligarchs everywhere.
*Let us know if this needs updating or if you have additional broadcasters to add*
WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
MILAN (3-5-2): Maignan (C); Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlović; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modrić, Rabiot, Estupiñan; Pulisic, Giménez
NAPOLI (4-1-4-1): Meret; Di Lorenzo (C), Marianucci, Jesus, Gutiérrez; Lobotka; Politano, Anguissa, De Bruyne, McTominay; Højlund
Not much to say really. Same lineup as last weekend with Maignan being the only change. Expect a lot of the same (working out to in, firm defense) but maybe a little more sitting back.
Leão is back and available off the bench. So expect him to come on but especially if Milan find themselves trailing, as I’m sure he’s eager to get out after a hot, albeit, short debut in the Coppa Italia against Bari in mid-August.
As for Napoli, expect Conte ball. They stay compact but have given up 2 goals in each of their last 2 games, so some cracks to be exploited to be sure.
PREDICTION TIME:
I don’t think Milan lose but taking all 3 points will be tough. I think they can, and can see something like a 2-1 score line in their favor. Let’s go get back on top of the table…
Forza Milan
