WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Dropping this before going to bed with the early morning start here so I’m going to keep this pretty short. I’m expecting the same approach we’ve been seeing but I’m expecting some rotation after a couple of big games last week. You know our saying here: start the starters. But, unfortunately this advice is often not heeded and Milan ends up chasing goals and/or the game. Hopefully we won’t see that in this today.

The Milan defense is all of the sudden pretty sturdy, and if you read the last post match, you know I mentioned how Fofana (or whoever was the DM) was likely the reason for a bulk of the breakdowns in the defense, particularly on counter-attacking goals…you know, the kind Milan give up as the most common when they concede? The back-3 seems to have stopped the bleeding so hopefully that remains the case. I think this is the only way Venezia score.

Offensively, Jović has been on a tear and but it wouldn’t surprise me if Abraham got the nod. I don’t have to worry with Abraham but Jović will need to do a lot of what he did last game in coming back to help build play. Maybe Milan can get Pulisic going to, as he’s been mostly quiet the last few games.

PREDICTION TIME:

No predictions! BUT I do expect Milan to win. Can’t drop points here although coming off of a big win vs Inter this past Wednesday, I’d be lying if I said as wasn’t worried about a letdown game. I mean…on the road, vs a team fighting to survive relegation, coming off of a big win. Yep. Trap game written all over it. Let’s hope they stay focused.

Forza Milan
