Fossa Friends,
After reading, writing, and partaking in this community for as long as I can remember…I tried but couldn’t find my first comment…2007 probably? Tis time to hang up the keyboard.
First of all, thanks to Gianfranco Barbato for originally creating this space and giving so many of us voice. Thanks to him for making the old Milan Offside what it was and what it has evolved into today. Next of course is our man Av, the spirit animal of the Fossa. If we had a mascot it would be him. The WAG posts will always be legend as will the time he touched Pippo and of course his meeting with Montolivo. Guy still hasn’t washed his hands.
Next of course is Teen Rocket. When Gianfranco hung up his keyboard it was TR that partnered with me to keep the project going. He cranked out a new site and set things up so I could run with the matchday posts, ratings, WTF Fridays and random Milan Musings articles. Without him I would have been blogging via newsletters sent to your mailboxes.

Last but not least is our man Gillis who brought us to where we are today. The quantum leap this site took forward under his stewardship has been remarkable. The graphics, design and layout here are top notch. Light years beyond what I ever imagined. In my eyes better than any other Milan site online. Hell the official site could learn a thing or two. His vigor and fire kept me going through these last couple years and as my light has faded he’s really become the voice of the Fossa.
Finally, thanks to all of those that have commented. Far too many to name but every one of you a building block in the foundation of what this place has become and a special place in my heart.

Why go? Why now? All I can say is that when you know that you know you know. Life changes. Career changes. Passions change. Time is finite and the older we get the less we have. As with the others before me I will continue to lurk and chime in from time to time. The passion for the club remains.
Therefore the torch is passed. The longest running English language Milan fan site and blog continues. 18 years since our birth in the Spring of 2007. When Gianfranco left it was nearly 10 years of darkness. Then back into the light with Pioli and the Scudetto in 2022. Let’s hope this change over doesn’t mirror that. Long may the Fossa continue.
Forza Milan
Lisi
