I don’t think the wheels have fallen off yet but more of the same from Milan and the 2024-25 season obituary can be written. Margins have shrunken to the point were the math has gotten very hard so a win today is a must…

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
The first Lazio game was also the famed Leão-Theo water break incident back in August 2024. I personally didn’t think it was a big deal – they had just come on and were on the other side of the pitch – but Leão-Theo haters got more ammo to take shots at them. Don’t overlook the part I just said about them coming on. Milan had drawn with Torino at the last minute in the first game, lost to Parma in the second game, and Fonseca thought it’d be wise to bench Leão and Theo to start in that third game.
So of course Leão needed to come on a save a point, the second time in three games Milan needed a late second half goal to even things up. This was also just the second point in three games for Fonseca to start the league campaign, so while we’re all pissed and disappointed, dig up some ire for that clown who put Milan in a hole to start the season. Those points mattered just as much as the ones lost in the last week+ of games.
With how Fonseca fielded the team, and how he’s no longer here, it’s hard to say what we’re going to see today. With how things have gone, does it really matter what I think is going to happen? Nothing has gone to plan and predicting anything for this Milan team is a crapshoot.
Still, everyone who wants Felix out and Reijnders as CAM, we’ll you’re getting your wish. Let’s hope we see some connectivity between the backline and the frontline, something that was drastically missing vs Bologna. Also, Maignan appears to have been striped of the captain’s armband. I don’t think it’s a huge deal but those who chastised Theo for losing it, have at it with Maignan. It appears Pulisic is getting it. That should make the Curva Sud and their anti-American perspective happy. Yay?
PREDICTION TIME:
I honestly have no idea. But please god. Win.
Michael Lisi says: 2-1 win with goals from Leão and Theo. Yeah I said Theo. He owns us big time for the shit run of form he’s been on.
Forza Milan
