CAGLIARI V HELLAS Friday matinee action. Great matchup of two teams that we thought would struggle to survive and…they are. Both teams are averaging over 3 total goals per game over their last 5, so expect goals. The over is a must. Cagliari are always tougher at home so count on that. DC and over 2.5 should be a lock here for the home side. Piccoli shots probably a nice side bet as well. Same with Mina. Might find a tasty number with him. I say we see a wild 2-2 DRAW

COMO V MONZA Total opposite of the previous game. These are two teams everyone expected to do well this year. Some folks even liked Como for top half. Not so fast. Mirror images of each other here. Both teams can defend but also neither team can score. Lot’s of 1-0 and 2-0 losses for each. Under a must. Probably lean Como. Worth a shot to take either Djuric or Cutrone as a flyer for AGS. If there are goals it will come from them. Consider the 0-0 1st half score line. Como DC and under 2.5 at +120? Yes please. DRAW

BOLOGNA V VENEZIA Italiano has been getting a lot of heck during his time at Bologna but it was always a tall task. They lost their leading scorer, best defender and now have Champions League duties. While they have struggled in CL the league has been very similar to Bologna’s 22/23 campaign. A solid defense leading to a lot of draws but few losses. They only have 2 league losses this year, away to Napoli and away to Lazio after getting a red. They have been solid at home and I expect more of the same. Consider Orsolini for AGS if he starts. Also look at shots for Pohjanpolo for Venezia. Be bold and take Bologna to win and under. Be conservative and go with a DNB. BOLOGNA WINS

UDINESE V GENOA Dud of the week! Ok maybe not. Any time you get 2 teams headed in opposite directions like this, something has got to give. Genoa are unbeaten in 3 and actually were robbed last week at home via a late PK. Otherwise they have 7 points in 3 and are ROLLING. Frendrup is playing really well. Look at him for shots. Udinese are in a tailspin but they are usually a good source of overs and BTTS chances. I love all those shouts. Also, I like Genoa to get a result here. Genoa DC and BTTS here is +200. BTTS alone is -106, That feels like a gift. Take it. DRAW

PARMA V LAZIO Speaking of rolling…Lazio are ROLLING. In both the league and Europe they are scoring AND defending. Parma can’t defend…but they also tend to score. Man remains the man when it comes to getting shots. Lazio love a counter. Between the over, BTTS, Man and a Lazio result there’s a lot of chances here. The over alone here is plus money. Lazio are due for a stumble but I don’t think we see that here. They heavily rotated against Ludogrets and will be fresh and ready. LAZIO WINS

TORINO V NAPOLI WARNING: Might see a snooze fest here. Torino are always worth an under shout. Also after a good start Napoli are slowing down and struggling to score. I like a 0-0 halftime here. The easy way might be a Napoli result and under 2.5, and it’s not terrible at -120. Do yourself a favor and watch the Parma/Lazio game and skip this stinker. Maybe turn it on late if you decide to sweat out a 0-0? DRAW

FIORENTINA V INTER GAME OF THE WEEK! Goals goals goals! Both teams are on a roll in the league and in Europe BUT they tend to save the goals for the league. I’m not completely sold on La Viola YET. I love Palladino and their summer signings but you can only win so many 2-1 and 3-2 games. Inter will pounce on that. How many times do you get a simple way to get Inter for plus money? Any combo of an Inter DC and either BTTS or over will do that. SO DO IT. INTER WINS

LECCE V JUVENTUS Lecce have 6 goals in 13 matches and somehow have wins and sit 15th. That flies in the face of all logic and mathematical rationality. Juve have conceded only 7 goals all year and yet somehow sit 6th. Lecce’s last 5 games have featured 6 total goals. Juve’s last 5 also have featured 6 goals. Honestly, just go Christmas shopping. Go for a 0-0 half and the under and probably a Juve win. Set your Fotmob alerts and enjoy the commercial madness. Cash your winnings as you contemplate the meaning of life surrounded by lunatics. ROMA V ATALANTA GAME OF THE WEEK PART 2!!!! Monday night football to boot! Honestly, this would be SO much better than the garbage that the NFL is peddling. Great story lines here. Raineri’s return to the Olimpico. Gasperini trashing American ownership groups while his team scores at will and trashes everyone in their way. Roma haven’t won in over a month. Atalanta hasn’t lost in 2 months. Sets up for a beat down of epic proportions as Atalanta rape and pillage the capitol. Not so fast though! Roma have yet to cash their new manager bounce chip! Atalanta are due to stumble! It might fly in the face of everything, though this might actually be a turkey induced fever dream, but I’m going with Roma here. Dybala AGS. It’s wild and crazy but Roma win something like 3-2 or 4-3. Roma DC and over 2 goals is +260. Over 3 is +450. DO IT and don’t question it. ROMA WINS
Final Thoughts
I may or may not have written that last part at 3am after falling asleep post Thanksgiving dinner and waking up in the middle of the night. It also might be the greatest gambling revelation I have had since I took that random Costa Rican team to win a CONCACAF CL game last year. Long story. No matter! Put the coffee on, fry up some back bacon and strap in for yet another week in the GREATEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
