MILAN V LAZIO Milan shit the bed midweek against Cremonese. Heavy rotation is just not working for Pioli’s men. I expect more starters in this one as they gear up for midweek CL. Lazio bounced back after their lost to Inter and strolled past Sassuolo. They are now second with 6 points of breathing run. A couple draws and their home free. A win here puts them 9 ahead of Milan and more or less clinches CL. Heart really wants to say it’s a Milan win. Brain says draw. I’m ging with the heart because we really f&^king need this one. ROMA V INTER Roma have been suffering since pulling out all the stops to get past Feyenoord in the Europa League. They are mixng and matching as man healthy bodies as possible but have ha to settle for draws. They need a win. Inter is red hot scoring 13 and conceding 1 in their last 4. Lautaro is on fire. Even Hakan scored a banger. Roma have been tough to crack at home but I don’t thing they can withstand what Inter has to offer. Lautaro pops in 2 more as INTER WINS

CREMONESE V SPEZIA Cremonese is dead. I mean that’s been the narrative almost all year. Hear me out though.. A win here and a Hellas loss to Lecce and they would only be 3 points back of survival. It’s not impossible. CRAZY… but not impossible. Salernitana survived last year in similarly dire circumstances. For that reason and the fact that I love a good story and for reasons totally unrelated to football I will say that Cremonese WINS

ATALANTA V JUVENTUS Atalanta got a big win last week to stay in the CL race by holding off Spezia. There’s still a logjam but 3 in a row means they are at least in it. Injuries are piling up a bit but old favorites like Muriel and De Roon still can get on the scoresheet. Juve are 5 points clear in the CL race but a further point reduction is still in the air. For that reason they are not on the beach in the league yet. Good news for them is that vlahovic got on the scoresheet last week for the first time since last year. If he gets hot down the stretch watch out. Atalanta tend to flub their lines at home and Juve are always solid on the road. For that reason I say Vlahovic lays down another marker as JUVE WINS

TORINO V MONZA 2 teams that are on the beach but still are out for wins. 2 teams with coaches making their mark in the league. 2 teams that have found their scoring boots of late. 2 teams that will both be on the fringes of Europe come next seasons. 2 teams that end up sharing the spoils of a 2-2 DRAW

NAPOLI V FIORENTINA If Napoli hadn’t clinchd yet I would say Fiorentina would like nothing better than to spoil the party. instead Napoli have been partying all week. They will rotate heavily but so will Fiornetina who’s European chances rely complete;y on winning Conference League. Who wins a game of such disinterest? No one. DRAW

LECCE V HELLAS IN THE GAME OF THE WEEK! If you’ve been a long time reader of the whip around you know I love Lecce and really would like to see Hellas go down. Long story short… Hellas has been great at home and putrid on the road. I like Lecce more. Great uniforms. A win here and Lecce are on the beach. Pack your bags and don’t forget the sunscreen. EMPOLI V SALERNITANA 2 teams that are on the beach with nothing to play for. 1 team that’s acting like it and one that is not. 1 team that hasn’t lost in 3 months and one that lost 3 clunkers in a row until winning last week. Splitting the points will benfit both to assure survival. Biscotto. DRAW

SASSUOLO V BOLOGNA Jekyll and Hyde Sassuolo is so unpredictable. Fortuneately of late Bologna has become very predictable. Since Juve got their points back the Rossoblu have just 2 points in 4. Nothing to play for and it shows. Hard to predict a bunch of zombies visiting Jelyll and Hyde. Lemme flip a coin…. and it lands on it’s side. Imagine that? Orsolini scores early and Berardi late for a 1-1 DRAW
